This recommendation is based on rising COVID-19 cases attributed to the Delta variant, which has resulted in our region moving from moderate to substantial community transmission. Therefore, the courthouse mask directive is amended as follows: Effective immediately, masks will again be required for entry into the Fairfax County Judicial Complex. In addition, masks will be required in all public areas of the Courthouse. Presiding judges have the authority to allow individuals to remove masks within their respective courtrooms.
