Operative words

Following CDC and Utah Department of Health guidelines, UTA now requires all riders and employees in Salt Lake County to a wear face mask or covering, in addition to practicing social distancing. These changes take effect Saturday, June 27, 2020 for Salt Lake County, in compliance with the Salt Lake County Health Order issued on June 26, 2020 requiring face coverings to be worn in public spaces. On July 1, 2020, UTA will require all riders and employees system-wide to wear face masks or coverings until further notice.

Implementing rule under a county health order, extended by the authority to its whole six-county system on July 1, 2020, four months before Utah's statewide mask order.
