Operative words

Effective tomorrow, 20 March, 2020 - all truck drivers will be asked two questions prior to entry: 1) Have you traveled outside the United States or Canada in the last 14 days? 2) Do you currently have a temperature, feel ill, or have congestion? If the answer is yes, for the safety of our employees, suppliers and customers we will not allow the driver to enter the port.

Enforcement

Denial of entry at the port gate

Notes

Private operator's notice, graded context as facts and circumstances: it is not an order of a governmental authority, though it governs access to a State-owned port and parallels the Port of Virginia and Georgia Ports Authority truck-gate rules (USCG-PORTS Ex. 078, 081).

Retrieval note

Letter text read in full (PDF letter dated March 19, 2020 on GT USA Wilmington letterhead). Verified as to the operator's own document; the issuer is private.
