Operative words

It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to obstruct, resist, oppose, or interfere with any person performing any duty or function under the authority of this subchapter or any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder.

Penalty

Misdemeanor; fine not exceeding $5,000, imprisonment not more than 90 days, or both (sec. 7-140, Ex. DUT-DC-008)

What it required

Binds every person, including every owner or operator of premises, not to obstruct, resist, oppose or interfere with DC Health, police or other officials performing communicable-disease duties (inspection under sec. 7-138, removal and detention under sec. 7-133, enforcement of rules under sec. 7-131).

Retrieval note

Sec. 7-138 (access to buildings for inspection) was read on the Council's code site and is not separately saved; it gives DC Health the right of entry that sec. 7-139 protects.
