Operative words

Beginning 7 days after the effective date of this title and during the public health emergency, employers in the District shall adopt and implement social distancing and worker protection policies to prevent transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace that adhere to the requirements of Mayor's Order 2020-080, or subsequent Mayor's Order.

Penalty

Administrative penalties up to $50 per violation per employee per day (sec. 102) and $500 per violation (sec. 103); Attorney General civil action for penalties, lost wages, equitable relief and fees

What it required

Re-enacted on a 225-day temporary basis the employer command of D.C. Act 23-384: policies adhering to Mayor's Order 2020-080 and every subsequent Mayor's Order, the anti-retaliation protections and the Mayor's and Attorney General's enforcement powers.
