Operative words

Any person who does any of the following is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor: (1) Violates any provision of an ordinance or a declaration enacted or declared pursuant to G.S. 166A-19.31. (2) Violates any provision of a declaration or executive order issued pursuant to G.S. 166A-19.30.

Penalty

Class 2 misdemeanor (sentenced under G.S. 15A-1340.23: up to 60 days and a fine up to $1,000 for a prior-record level III offender; fine at the court's discretion for levels I and II)

What it required

Every person must comply with every provision of a gubernatorial declaration or executive order issued under G.S. 166A-19.30 and of every local emergency ordinance or declaration under G.S. 166A-19.31, on pain of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
