What it required

Physicians, laboratories, persons in charge of medical facilities, school principals and child-care operators must report every case of novel coronavirus infection immediately (G.S. 130A-135 to 130A-139), which brought each case within the local health director's duty to investigate and to give the Commission's control measures (G.S. 130A-144(a), (e)) and within the isolation and quarantine authority of G.S. 130A-145.

Current text (last amended Nov. 1, 2024); the history note dates the COVID-19 entries to the emergency amendment of Feb. 17, 2020. Reportability is the trigger that made every workplace case a public-health matter subject to control measures under 41A.0201 (Ex. DUT-NC-007).
