What it required
Placed the Oregon Health Authority in 'direct supervision of all matters relating to the preservation of life and health of the people of this state' with a duty to 'Conduct sanitary surveys about and investigations on the causes and prevention of diseases' (431.110(1), (5)), commanded OHA and every local public health administrator and local public health authority to 'administer and enforce' every public health law (431.150(1)-(2); 431.413(1)(a)), required district attorneys to prosecute on request and the Attorney General to assist (431.150(4)-(5)), and authorized OHA and every local administrator to restrain any person 'engaged or about to engage in any acts or practices that constitute a violation of any statute relating to public health... or any rule or order issued thereunder' by injunction 'or by other processes, mandatory or otherwise' (431.155(1), 431.157).
