Operative words

'NOW, THEREFORE, I, DANIEL J. MCKEE, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Rhode Island... do hereby order [that all students, staff and visitors wear masks indoors in schools regardless of vaccination status].... This Executive Order shall take effect immediately and remain in full force and effect through September [18, 2021], unless renewed, modified or terminated.' Recital: 'on August 19, I declared a state of emergency due to the dangers to health and life posed by [the Delta variant].'
