Sec. A-1. 37-B MRSA § 742, sub-§ 1, ¶ D is enacted to read: D. For the duration of a state of emergency declared by the Governor pursuant to this chapter due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and for 30 days following the termination of that state of emergency, in addition to any other powers conferred by law,... the Governor, in consultation with the Commissioner of Education, may implement for elementary and secondary schools a plan to: (1) Waive the compulsory attendance requirements of Title 20-A, chapter 211
