Operative words
WHEREAS, effective September 3, 2021, the Cambridge Commissioner of Public Health and the City Manager issued the Temporary Emergency Order Requiring the Wearing of Masks in Indoor Public Places;... 1. All persons shall wear a mask or face covering that covers their nose and mouth, such as a fabric or surgical mask, whenever they are indoors on the premises of a business, club, place of assembly or other place that is open to members of the public, including but not limited to retail establishments, restaurants, bars, performance venues, social clubs, houses of worship, personal care and fitness establishments, event spaces, and municipal buildings, except when they are alone in a workplace or alone in a room at the workplace with a closed door. 2. Indoor restaurant, bar, and dance venue customers may only remove face coverings when they are actively eating or drinking.... 8. This Order shall take effect immediately and remain in effect until further notice.
