Operative words
effective on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 11:59 PM:... all businesses within the City of Los Angeles are ordered to cease operations that require in-person attendance by workers at a workplace... All public and private gatherings of any number of people occurring outside a residence are prohibited... All travel, including, without limitation, travel on foot, bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, automobile, or public transit is prohibited, subject to the exceptions in Paragraph 5.... Failure to comply with this Order shall constitute a misdemeanor... This order shall be in place until April 19, 2020, and it may be extended prior to that date.
