Operative words
As recited in the Biloxi Municipal Court's order (MS-074): 'The Mississippi Supreme Court later issued an "Emergency Administrative Order" on March 13, 2020, in response and which has application to proceedings in the [Municipal] Court. This Order states that while courts "will remain open for business to ensure' [the administration of justice, judges may continue matters].
Enforcement
Administrative order binding on the State's courts
Notes
Ballotpedia (court closures page): 'March 16, 2020: The Mississippi Supreme Court ordered that individual judges had the discretion to postpone trials on their docket through May 15, 2020'; 'March 26, 2020:... ordered the suspension of a criminal procedure rule that prohibited the use of interactive equipment for probation violation hearings and felony sentencing.' Every Governor's order recites that 'all State Courts are open... consistent with administrative orders of the Supreme Court'.
