Operative words
NV OSHA adopted the COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard for healthcare workplaces effective on July 1, 2021. Employers must comply with most provisions within 14 days of the effective date, and with the remaining provisions within 30 days.... On July 27, 2021, the Governor issued Declaration of Emergency Directive #047 which requires all persons in counties with substantial or high community transmission rates according to the CDC, whether vaccinated or not, to wear a face covering while in public indoor spaces. In addition, Declaration of Emergency Directives #024, #028, #044, and #045 require Nevada businesses to comply with guidelines promulgated by NV OSHA to minimize the risk of spread of COVID-19. NV OSHA is also responsible for enforcing all violations of its guidelines, protocols, and regulations promulgated pursuant to the Governor's Directives and local directives affecting employees.
Enforcement
NV OSHA citations under NRS ch. 618
Notes
Primary evidence that the federal Healthcare ETS (29 C.F.R. s. 1910.502) bound Nevada health-care employers from July 1, 2021 through the State plan.
