Operative words

The statutory one-time 60-day renewal limit contained in Rhode Island General Laws § 42-35-2.10 is hereby suspended for all existing and new emergency rules promulgated in relation to the current COVID-19 emergency. Such emergency rules may be extended for one or more 60-day renewal periods.

Enforcement

Keeps every COVID-19 emergency regulation (incl. 216-RICR-50-15-7) enforceable beyond the APA's 180-day life

This is the instrument that kept the RIDOH Safe Activities regulation alive to August 31, 2021 (see Ex. RI-071 and the Secretary of State's filing note).
