Operative words
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, TREC, based on approval by Governor Greg Abbott, is waiving all renewal and application deadlines until July 31, 2020; classroom courses that have since been canceled; In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, TREC understands that some inspector applicants may find it challenging to complete the in-person ride-along course required for licensure
