Notes

2020: Cancelled April 17, 2020 'due to the COVID-19 pandemic in California and two stay-at-home orders issued by California governor Gavin Newsom' (Wikipedia); replaced by the online 'Comic-Con@Home' (organizer's page, Ex. SEC-21-GM-040); San Diego County's health officer orders of March 27 to June 2020 closed venues and capped gatherings (Exs. MET-SAN-003 to -009) under the State stay-at-home order (Exs. CA-002, CA-007). 2021: In-person July 2021 convention cancelled March 1, 2021 ('premature and unsafe to hold an in-person event at Comic-Con's full scale on the originally-scheduled dates,' Wikipedia) while the Blueprint tier chart still barred conventions (Exs. CA-017, CA-055); a smaller 'Special Edition' was held in November 2021 requiring 'proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test' with masks mandatory (Wikipedia) under the Beyond the Blueprint mega-event rules (Exs. CA-029, CA-036, AGY-ST-HEALTH-SUBORDERS-111). Usual dates: Late July. Scale: About 135,000 attendees; economic impact estimates of $150-180 million a year (Wikipedia). Venue orders 2020: CA-002, CA-007, CA-017, MET-SAN-003, MET-SAN-004, MET-SAN-006, MET-SAN-008, MET-SAN-009. Venue orders 2021: CA-017, CA-055, CA-029, CA-036, AGY-ST-HEALTH-SUBORDERS-111.
