2020: Cancelled, 'the first year in the fifty-year history of Jazz Fest that the two-week festival has been cancelled' (Wikipedia, secondary). 2021: Rescheduled to Oct. 8-17, 2021 and cancelled Aug. 8, 2021: 'JAZZ FEST 2021 WILL NOT OCCUR IN OCTOBER DUE TO COVID-19 CONDITIONS. As a result of the current exponential growth of new COVID cases in New Orleans and the region and the ongoing public health emergency, we must sadly announce that the 2021 edition of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell, scheduled to take place October 8-17, 2021, will not occur as planned.... we urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials' (organizer's page, Aug. 10, 2021 capture, Ex. SEC-22-GM-059), while Louisiana's statewide mask mandate of Aug. 2, 2021 and the City's indoor mask requirement of July 31 were in force (Exs. LA-036, MET-MSY-027) and days before the City's vaccination-or-test entry requirement of Aug. 16, 2021 (Ex. MET-MSY-029). Usual dates: Apr. 23-May 3, 2020 planned; 2021 moved to Oct. 8-17, 2021.
