Operative words
MCL 333.2253(1) provides that: [if]... control of an epidemic is necessary to protect the public health, the director by emergency order may prohibit the gathering of people for any [purpose and may establish procedures]... I therefore order that: 1. Definitions. (a) 'Authorized physician' means the Chief Medical Executive, a Health officer, or a Medical director who is a physician licensed to practice medicine in the State of Michigan... 2. Ordering of tests. (a) An Authorized Physician may issue a standing order for any CLIA-waived, FDA-authorized SARS-CoV-2 tests that has received emergency use authorization for COVID-19.... This order takes effect immediately and remains in effect until rescinded. Date: February 2, 2021
