Operative words

Due to this unprecedented emergency, I find that door-to-door, public events and any in-person sales and marketing of competitive energy supply is not a necessity at this time, given the need to protect the public health and safety. (as quoted in the Commission's release of March 16, 2020)

Enforcement

66 Pa.C.S. 3301 (civil penalties); license conditions of competitive suppliers under 52 Pa. Code chs. 54 and 62; consumers directed to report violations to the Bureau of Consumer Services

Notes

An order limiting commerce in terms: it prohibited an entire in-person sales channel statewide for the duration of the disaster proclamation. The live page renders only a 'page not found' error to a headless browser although it serves to an ordinary fetch;

Retrieval note

Existence, date, docket number, statutory basis and the quoted finding confirmed from the Commission's own press release; the order text itself not read. Retrieval failed twice (rendered-live captured an error page; rendered-wayback produced no PDF).
