What it required
The Department and county boards may require persons within their jurisdictions to submit to vaccination against a contagious disease 'whether or not the disease may be an active threat,' and the Department may require 'such other measures to prevent the conveyance of infectious matter from infected persons to other persons as may be necessary and appropriate' (the statutory basis for distancing, exclusion and sanitation measures); religious objection is preserved only 'in the absence of an epidemic or immediate threat thereof' (subsection (b)).
