Penalty
Occupational-disease liability unless rebutted
What it required
Extended the period during which an essential-business employer's COVID-19 case is presumed occupational, and with it the period during which the employer's only rebuttal was proof that it applied the CDC or IDPH sanitation, distancing and health and safety practices 'to the fullest extent possible'; the presumption ran through the last day of the second quarter of 2021.
Retrieval noteThe enrolled Act shows the struck 'December 31, 2020' and the inserted 'June 30, 2021' with the bridging parenthetical. The JCAR Flinn Report and the codified section (DUT-IL-006) confirm the extended date.
