Operative words
Starting next semester, all students at Indiana University must be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are exempt for religious or medical reasons. Exempt students must wear masks and be tested for the disease twice a week.... Vaccination is instead a condition of attending Indiana University.... Each university may decide what is necessary to keep other students safe in a congregate setting.... The motion for an injunction pending appeal is denied.
Enforcement
Condition of enrollment and attendance at a State university; district court's denial of preliminary injunction (N.D. Ind. July 18, 2021) left undisturbed
Notes
A vaccination-or-mask-and-test mandate by a State instrumentality in force throughout Q3 2021, upheld by a federal court of appeals two days into the quarter's second month.
