The Governor sued on July 16, 2020 to void EO 2020-113/114 and bar the Mayor from issuing orders more restrictive than the State's; the Attorney General withdrew the suit after mediation and the Governor issued EO 08.15.20.01 (Local Option Face Covering Requirement) on Aug. 15, 2020. No injunction issued against the City.
