Operative words
Columbus Health Commissioner Dr. Mysheika Roberts and Franklin County Health Commissioner Joe Mazzola advise all residents of Columbus and Franklin County to stay at home to the greatest extent possible. Residents are advised to only leave home to go to work or school or for essential needs such as medical care, groceries, medicine and food pick up. Residents also are strongly advised not to have any guests in their homes unless they are essential workers, including for the Thanksgiving holiday. Columbus and Franklin County residents also are urged to limit meetings and social events to 10 individuals both indoors and outside, and to avoid traveling in and out of the state.
Enforcement
None; advisory. It is pleaded as the health authorities' formal direction to the customer base and workforce during the winter 2020-21 surge, alongside the State's mandatory curfew (Nov. 19, 2020) and retail mask compliance order (Nov. 13, 2020)
Notes
Franklin County was at Purple (Level 4) on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System from Nov. 19 to Dec. 3, 2020 and Red thereafter; the commissioners urged residents to stay home 'until Dec. 18' (Dec. 4, 2020 statement).
Retrieval noteThe issuing agency's own publication of the advisory (published Nov. 18, 2020). Graded primary as to the advisory's text; the advisory is not an order and is so described.
