Operative words

Beginning today, and continuing until April 30, 2020, or until the Governor lifts the March 25, 2020, emergency 'Stay at Home' order, TARC is limiting ridership to 'essential services only.'... Each TARC bus will be properly posted with a notice... stating: ALL TARC BUSES ARE NOW ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY.... Unless obtaining necessary supplies and services to sustain your life and the lives of others, or traveling to and from employment in an 'essential business' that is 'necessary to sustain life,' you should remain at home. DO NOT TRAVEL ON TARC UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY

Enforcement

posted notice on every bus; operational limitation

Notes

Transit authority's application of the State stay-home order to the region's bus system; TARC states it 'averages over 41,000 daily riders' and that '83% of all trips taken... are for work or school.'

Retrieval note

TARC's release remains live on ridetarc.org and was rendered from the live page; archived capture of May 23, 2020 read for confirmation. The rendered page's CMS dateline reads 'April 3, 2021'; the content ('Beginning today, and continuing until April 30, 2020, or until the Governor lifts the March 25, 2020... order') fixes the release to April 3, 2020.
