Effective immediately, and continuing until April 14, 2020 at 11:59 pm, strict compliance with subdivision (a)... of section 28(1) of the Michigan Employment Security Act... is temporarily suspended... [extending benefits to workers who are sick, quarantined, immunocompromised, or caring for family members or children whose schools or child care have closed].

Enforcement

Administered by the Unemployment Insurance Agency

Notes

Context for the workforce limitation: the State's own recognition that quarantine, school closure and child-care closure removed workers from workplaces.
