Operative words

I hereby direct the continued closure of all public schools in the State of South Carolina for students and non-essential employees for the duration of the State of Emergency.... I further authorize all state-supported colleges, universities, and technical colleges... to continue to provide instruction by delivering virtual and remote learning, by housing only out-of-state or displaced students, and by restricting on-campus services and activities to emergency or other critical personnel... I further direct DHEC to restrict visitation to nursing homes and assisted living facilities, with the exception of end-of-life situations... [§ 5(A) deletes EO 2020-10 § 5 (the 50-person cap at public facilities); § 5(B) deletes EO 2020-28 § 2(B) (the retail occupancy cap); § 5(C) authorizes bowling alleys to re-open].... the provisions of the following Orders shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of the State of Emergency...: Executive Order Nos. 2020-09, 2020-10, 2020-11, 2020-12, 2020-13, 2020-16, 2020-18, 2020-21, 2020-22, 2020-25, 2020-28, 2020-30, 2020-31, 2020-33, 2020-34, 2020-36, and 2020-37.

Enforcement

§ 6: § 16-7-10(A); § 1-3-440(4); DHEC

Notes

Fixes June 11, 2020 as the end of the retail occupancy cap and of the 50-person public-facility rule, and confirms what stayed closed: night clubs, concert venues, theaters, auditoriums, performing arts centers, racetracks, adult entertainment, spectator sports (EO 2020-18 § 1(B)).

Retrieval note

Corrects the bundled row: the 'new state of emergency' of June 2020 was declared June 11 (EO 2020-40) and again June 26 (EO 2020-42); the bundled entry's 'gatherings >50 permitted 2020-06-11' refers to the deletion of EO 2020-10 § 5.
